Job description: We have an immediate opening in our I.T. Department. We are looking for someone that wants to take pride in the effective use of our I.T. Infrastructure. We run state-of-the-art Cisco and Meraki Network Hardware, with 100 Lenovo computers to maintain. Zaks currently operates two Home Hardware Building Centres (in Hague and Warman), along with Zak’s Building Group’s contracting divisions:
– Ready-to-Move and On-Site Homes and Cottages
– Barns, Shops, Pole and Commercial Buildings
– Renovations & Custom Cabinets

Position Details:
– Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, network, phone systems, photocopiers, software, and email-related issues.
– Manage the configuration, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software applications (e.g., Management Software, Point of Sale Software, etc.), and networks.
– Test, build and configure new technology to ensure compatibility with and impact upon existing applications and projects.
– Maintain and update IT procedures and technical documentation, ensuring they are consistent.
– Provide support via telephone, e-mail, written and/or in-person requests from users.
– Support and/or deliver end-user training when needed.
– Work together with Retail Manager and Ownership on future IT needs of the company

Desired Technical Skills:
– Ability to manage Office 365
– Understanding of Point of Sale Software
– Working knowledge of Cisco and Meraki network hardware
– Ability to manage Windows Network Environment
– Experience with group policy and active directory an asset
