YOUR TEAM
The IT Team brings together experts who are passionate about technology, programming, and innovation. You’ll find system administrators, operations support analysts, software developers, ERP developer/analysts, and quality control specialists. Together, they build and optimize the systems that allow Moment Factory to create interactive, immersive, and innovative experiences in the real world.
YOUR ROLE
The System Administrator works with the Technical Manager to ensure the optimal operation, monitoring and maintenance of the equipment. This person participates in the evolution of the infrastructure and is responsible for the administration of servers and workstations. He/she communicates effectively with the various service providers. He/she documents the IT architecture and procedures. He/she performs assigned tasks and responds to user support requests. He/she works as a team member and helps develop the knowledge of his/her colleagues.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Infrastructure :
Responsible for administering, configuring, optimizing and monitoring servers;
Assist system administrators in the management of storage and archiving systems;
Document application and network infrastructures;
Conduct technology watch and participate in the evolution of the IT infrastructure;
2. Systems Administration :
Administer aspects of the Active Directory domain;
Administer cloud-based enterprise applications;
Administer aspects of VMware virtual servers;
Administer Linux servers;
Administer application services deployed in containers;
Administer application development and deployment services;
Administer the desktop telephony system;
Optimize the deployment process of Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows workstations;
Manage license activations and servers;
Assist in the preparation of equipment used during integrations;
Assist in the administration of network infrastructures;
Apply and document IT processes in effect;
3. Technical support:
Guide and operate the IT management system;
Provide outstanding customer service and follow-up on Level 1 and 2 requests;
Assign and escalate tickets as required;
POSITION’S EXPECTATIONS
Technical college diploma in computer systems management or equivalent;
2 to 4 years experience in systems administration;
2 to 4 years experience in technical support;
Experience in post-production – an asset;
Apple, Microsoft or UNIX certification(s);
Cisco, HP or equivalent network administration certification – an asset;
Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 and higher;
Proficiency in Windows PowerShell, and Python;
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Linux, Apple iOS, Google Android platforms;
Knowledge of cloud-based enterprise applications;
Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, VMware or Xen virtualization systems;
Basic knowledge of AppleScript, Bash, Windows Batch high level language;
In-depth knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems;
Knowledge of Apache and nginx web server software;
Knowledge of DNS and web acceleration/caching systems – an asset;
Knowledge of the Docker container system;
Knowledge of Jenkins automation server – an asset;
Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform;
Knowledge of git release management software;
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk 3ds max, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Shotgun, Foundry Nuke, Houdini and Maxon Cinema 4D production applications – a plus;
Advanced knowledge of French and English, both oral and written;
