Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, the IT Technician will provide technical support to users and will also properly execute multiple tasks such as the configuration and support of telecom equipment and various business applications.

What Would You Be Doing?

  • Manage accounts, cellular telephones as well as various business applications.
  • Provide technical support to users, either on-site, by telephone or remotely.
  • Manage the Active Directory environment.
  • Configure and maintain network equipment (e.g., firewalls, modems and switches).
  • Provide technical support and ensure the proper functioning of the intercom environment.
  • Propose and deploy IT solutions within various projects.
  • Be responsible for managing the inventory of computer equipment and cellular telephones.
  • Provide help with network and system administration tasks (e.g., Virtualizations, Windows / Linux Server, SQL databases, Security).
  • Prepare and reimage computers for new employees.
  • Oversee email management and the various Office 365 services.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Technical or college diploma in computer science.
  • Two (2) years of experience in IT support is preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer networks (e.g., VPN, DHCP, MPLS).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in configuring telecommunications equipment such as firewalls and switches.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environment.
  • Experience with SQL Server and PowerShell is preferred.
  • Previous work experience with the Office 365 suite is preferred.
  • Familiarity with collaborative systems (e.g., Teams, Skype for Business).
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCCM is preferred.
  • Demonstrated autonomy and initiative.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
