Job description: IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking an IT Technician to join our client in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities

• Confirm deployment plan for each day/week.
• Prepare hardware by physical cleaning/sanitizing, securely erase storage, and upgrade hardware if required.
• Install base operating system image and any other software as needed, thoroughly test and certify all equipment
• Prepare equipment for delivery to Housing Providers and arrange logistics.
• Track all activities and inventory within the supplied systems.
• Technical Support
• Assist Housing providers with access issues to applications, including the Non-Profit portal and HIFIS.
• Work closely with both the Operations branch, and various teams within the IMT department to resolve issues.
• Assist Housing Providers with technology upgrades by providing advice and guidance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and other materials as directed.
• Track all activities within the Dynamics CRM system.
• Other tasks may be assigned within the context of the Housing Provider Technology Support program as required.

Top Skills Required

• 2 years experience supporting various desktop and mobile hardware
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
• Physical ability to lift computer equipment
• A self-starter and a team player;
• Experience with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office software in a corporate environment;
• Experience with Office 365 implementation and administration;
• Extensive knowledge of PCs, laptops, tablets (iPad), mobile devices (iPhone), printers, and all peripherals;
• Experience showing progression to more complex and responsible work;
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills;
• Ability to gather and document hardware details as well as configuration of hardware;
• Working for public agencies and/or social service organizations.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
