Our client, a Canadian financial services provider is looking for an IT Vendor Manager for a 1-3 month contract with a possibility to turn permanent.
They are recognized as one of the Top 30 Performing Stocks on the TSX, Canada’s Top Growing Companies and one of North America’s Most Engaged Workplaces. They are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to manage the overall IT vendor management office (VMO) function.
Reporting to the VP of business services, you will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with IT and Legal departments, as well as communicating the VMO value proposition to various partners. You will oversee the management of vendor relationships and the integration of key partners, internally and externally, to ensure strong and strategic partnerships, cost savings and enhanced services for the complex needs.
Qualifications:
– 5 to 8 years of experience in vendor management and project management in an Information Technology Procurement function
– Demonstrated leadership skills to build and manage multi-disciplinary teams supported by strong knowledge of team management standards and methodologies
– Adept in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and competitive price analysis
– Deep interpersonal and communication skills to foster partnerships, consensus and effective relationships with internal staff, clients and external vendor/suppliers
– Well-developed negotiation and conflict management skills, with the ability to ensure vendors adhere to contract terms, operations service support and service delivery
– Experience establishing and maintaining reporting performance standards and processes including supplier performance scorecards
– Knowledge of current technologies and services such as Software-as-a-Service (SAAS), Cloud and Outsourcing
– Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, and the foresight to anticipate opportunities/problems and present effective solutions
