Junior Accountant (Part-Time)

Recruitment Partners is seeking a part-time Junior Accountant to join our client’s team in downtown Calgary. The successful candidate is responsible for acquiring and processing invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and supporting the treasury team. Your role:

• Receive and verify cash, check, and other forms of payment from customers and clients.
• Record and document all payments received in the appropriate accounting system.
• Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly cash receipts to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to process payments, including invoice matching and data entry.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements related to cash receipting.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries or concerns related to cash receipts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and security of financial information.

Your strengths include:

• Prior experience in accounts payable, cash receipting, or a similar financial role is preferred.
• Strong numerical and data entry skills.
• Proficiency in using QByte is a requirement.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
