This is an ideal opportunity for someone who just completed an Accounting degree and seeking to gain professional experience. You will work closely with the Accounting team members at our Corporate Home Office to provide support to the department. Your responsibilities will be varied and will include Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Audit Support, and Analysis. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting.

Junior Accountant (General Ledger) Job Highlights:

  • Various financial reporting duties including: perform monthly journal entries and accruals; produce financial statements; review and reconcile balance sheet accounts; update fixed assets and realty tax in a timely manner;
  • Assist in analysis and forecasting of quarterly/annual budgets.
  • Produces timely and accurate bank Reconciliations.
  • Perform internal audit of store petty cash disbursements
  • Prepare and provide information for year-end audit.

Junior Accountant (General Ledger) Key Qualifications:

  • Business or Accounting diploma/degree, required;
  • Intention of pursuing professional accounting designation;
  • Strong computer skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an asset;
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills;
  • Accuracy working with numbers with close attention to details;
  • Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints;
  • Previous office experience, an asset;
  • Bilingualism (French/English), an asset.
