OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Junior Manager, Client Finance to drive the client finance operational relationships both internally within the organization, and externally with clients. You will review/approve media purchases given by the Client Leadership team and will track POs and client-signed media purchase authorizations. You will also be responsible for submitting needed reporting to the client for quarter close, annual close, and audits.

How you will make an IMPACT:

  • Assist in directing and managing the development of Client and Agency Finance requirements
  • Act as a liaison between Client and Client Leadership Teams on financial matters, including set-up and assessment of bill/pay process (bridge with Shared Financial Services), client audits, collection issues, billing issues, other issues as they arise
  • Manage and lead the client reconciliation process with the current discrepancy clearing team, Client Leadership Team, Shared Financial Services, and corporate accounting as it relates to timely review and reconciliations of client accounts with a view to credits and debits adjustments.
  • Work with Agency and other WPP partners to ensure that process and SOX compliance are met
  • Monitor and explain actual to budget income variances
  • Define key process metrics and ensure proper execution.
  • Creation and implementation of best practices, principles, strategies and process while ensuring consistent quality and output
  • Provide analytical reporting and on-going development of business solutions that strengthen our client and agency relationships
  • Provide directive consultant level service for our clients with the outcome of contributing to fostering client relationships with the agency
  • Develop billing structures and reporting tools that assist in meeting Client financial reporting requirements
  • Ensure team and personal deliverables are met on time and steward work flow and project management.
  • Client and vendor contract reviews, monitoring and coordination of specific requirements and procedures to ensure compliance of contract deliverables
  • Follow up on appropriate signed contracts and authorizations as related per SOX requirements
  • DDS, Client, and Time security set up and related SOX compliance requirements
  • Coordination of MPA’s, billing approvals with inter-company partners
  • Establish strong industry relationships with key marketplace partners
  • Perform analysis of findings and trends to provide recommendations for increased quality and operational efficiency
  • Develop, train, and motivate staff while holding them accountable for achieving results

What YOU bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA certification is a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, including Financial Modeling, Budget and Profitability analysis, Variance Analysis, and Financial Reporting
  • Working knowledge of Donovan Data Systems in a media agency is an asset
  • Ability to understand and evaluate procedures within a process with a view to SOX and process improvement
  • Excellent customer service and client management expertise
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to respond accurately and confidently for all inquiries
  • Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel with the ability to perform complex data analysis including pivot tables and macros
