As Lab Technician Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the various tests and procedures required to determine the quality and condition of raw grain and flour samples for customers. This position will be 20 hours per week and hours may vary.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Prepare various grain and flour samples for analysis and testing
• Report/Log detailed results of tests and samples
• Assist in preparation of quality and Food Safety documentation for P&H and our customers
• Perform maintenance checks on equipment and log maintenance activity
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture, science, food science or related field
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is an asset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel)
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
