RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Determine a pattern of circulating tumor DNA and/or vesicles in the blood, vaginal fluid, and urine that could aid in the diagnosis, staging and monitoring of patients with cervical abnormalities.

General Duties
The laboratory assistant will work for 10 hours per week with the principal investigator, co-investigators and other team members to:

• Screen patient eligibility criteria,
• Consent, collect and process samples and recording.

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

Work Experience: one year experience

Other Requirements:

• Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.

Additional information

Status: Temporary Occasional, 10 hours per week
Pay Scale: $15.25 to $25.16 per hour, commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: 10 hours per week
