Job description: Job Summary:
What is the Lakeside Restaurant and Adventure Manager position? The Lakeside Manager will be responsible for overseeing all front of house operations in the seasonal Lakeside Restaurant, while also managing the Inverary’s Adventure Centre to create an integrated brand between the two venues. The Lakeside Manager will be responsible for ensuring service quality is excellent and employees are guided and supported to enhance the guest’s overall experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Operations Manager, responsible for creating an exceptional integrated experience for both Lakeside Restaurant and Adventure Centre with a focus on managing customer experience, increasing revenue, and ensuring an overall profitable business
- Assist with recruitment, hiring and orientation of employees with a focus on retention of employees in a seasonal operation
- Develop and implement training for front line staff, including the development of trainers to provide ongoing coaching and support for all front of house employees, ensuring performance standards and service quality are being met or exceeded
- Schedule and control front of house labour, and beverage and supply needs for both venues
- Actively drive sales in the Restaurant and Adventure Centre by promoting products and services, evaluating guest satisfaction, and optimizing Lakeside’s unique location and by monitoring and implementing sales trends where appropriate
- Work together with all department leads to plan and execute a superior product experience
- Promote and maintain a safe and health work environment, adhering to the legislation set out by Occupational Health and Safety and other Food Safety and related regulations, and implementing and maintaining effective operating procedures
- Be continually aware of, and enforce, the highest standards of respect within the department and the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress
- Attend meetings and training courses as required
- Any other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- (2) years of food service experience and (2) years of management experience
- A certificate or diploma in a business or hospitality field preferred
- Experience in a sales or marketing capacity a definite asset
- Strong customer service skills, creativity, and innovation, as well as exceptional troubleshooting, conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills to ensure all guests requests are fulfilled and resolved to the Resort’s standards
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively and lead a team in a diverse working environment
- Proactive, with great time-management, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision to ensure all duties are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner
- Excellent communication in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure, make informed decisions, multitask, and manage multiple priorities, while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization to ensure all guest’s and employees needs are fulfilled
- Demonstrated accountability, dependability and reliability to ensure a commitment to excellence, confidentiality and Inverary Resort’s standards
- Computer literate, including proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail
- Experience with Point of Sale systems
- Experience with Five Star Hotel Systems (or other similar Property Management Systems) a definite asset
Working Conditions:
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer
- Morning, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as overtime (as required)
- Fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work long hours
- Lifting or moving up to 35lbs may be required

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $770.00 per week
