Job description: Robert Half is partnered with one of the areas well established law firms specializing in professional corporations. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes corporate law, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to handling legal matters. This is a full time role, working in office with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct legal research on corporate and regulatory matters related to professional corporations.

– Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements pertaining to professional corporations.

– Assist in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

– Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring accurate and timely document management.

– Interact with clients professionally, addressing inquiries and providing updates on cases.

– Skilled in creation and maintenance of corporate minute books

– Stay current with changes in corporate laws and regulations relevant to professional corporations.

Qualifications:

– Diploma in Legal Administration or related field; additional certification as a Law Clerk is an asset

– 3- 10+ of experience as a Law Clerk, with a focus on corporate law and professional corporations.

– Strong knowledge of corporate legal procedures and regulations.

– Highly organized with great attention to detail and accuracy.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

– Proficiency in legal software and tools for document management and research.

What we offer:

– Salary to be based on experience $65,000 – $80,000
