Job description: Our client in Scarborough, ON is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis. The ideal candidate will facilitate the smooth operation of the companies transportation requirements
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
Follow up on late orders, research status and report to customer service team
Track and trace high priority orders, communicate with, customer service and sales team
Monitor orders at risk of being late, liaise with customer service and carriers
Keep TMS system, up to date, remove duplicates, update mode International shipments
Track incoming and third part shipments to ensure pickups are made on time
File damage claims with carrier
Working with carrier identify loads with appointment, update TMS system
Back up load planner as needed
Update TMS system with international shipments, alert receiving plant of delays
Co-develop lane service analysis and process for load tendering with optimal service
Prepare weekly flash reports on service and cost
Prepare monthly on time service reports and other KPIs as needed
Logistics Coordinator Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in logistics
Knowledge of shipping documentation, regulations and general requirements
Familiar with import / export documentation and customs clearing regulations
Knowledge of INCOTERMS
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
Computer-savvy with a strong Excel abilities, good research and web skills
Experience in customer service will be helpful
Good organizational and coordination abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
