Do you have a background in logistics and are you looking for a career in a well-established company? One of our clients in Ottawa is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will perform a variety of materials management functions, prepping materials and paperwork for clinical shipments.

Job Description:

– Coordinating procurement of clinical supplies as part of study planning and to provide for ongoing studies
– Managing inventory of clinical supplies
– Purchasing, procurement and management of clinical supplies
– Preparing shipping documents and liaising with shipping department to coordinate shipments of all clinical materials
– Liaising with facilities, R&D, quality, regulatory
– Acting independently or working under consultative direction toward predetermined goals
– Participating in development of work plans, assignments, and priorities
– Demonstrating independence by prioritizing and completing assignments
– Troubleshooting and/or solving very complex problems and providing solutions which are highly innovative
– Developing information which extends the existing boundaries of knowledge in a given area of expertise
– Performing and guiding technical activities resulting from self-initiated or assigned programs leading to innovative applications of existing or new products, systems or technologies having major importance to the function/department
– Providing technical direction to less experienced staff
– Taking an active role in seeking out areas for improvement and actively incorporating continuous improvement ideas and methodology into daily work
– Understanding and complying with Quality and EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines
– Safeguarding the environment and facilitating a safe and healthy workplace culture

Required Education and Experience:

– Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, regulated with is preferred
– Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Biochemistry/Chemistry
– 4+ years of relevant experience in logistics, healthcare procurement
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to prioritize work effectively
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding, or skills (fast learner)
– Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
– Proficiency in MS Office
