Job description: We are currently hiring a Logistics Coordinator to oversee shipping requirements and product design/development for a warehouse facility in North York

Salary: $55-60K/year

Schedule: Afternoon shifts Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-12:00am then will move to 2:30pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities Include:
– Communicating with service providers and customers in regard to shipping procedures and deviations to shipping schedule
– Supporting claims process/investigations
– Monitoring and inputting details regarding KPIs/metrics
– Expediting rush order requests/follow ups and managing exception orders
– Product Design: achieving marketing objectives, ensuring product improvements are captured in new product design, investigating design related claims, ensuring output of design department exceeds customer expectations, and providing support to corporate marketing activities (symbols, instructions, prototyping)
– Product Development: establishing product development processes that vets ideas, produce prototypes, tests, and supply documentation for manufacturing and production of tools and parts while meeting requirements of industry standards
– Developing and implementing policies and best practices for new product development, engineering data and document control, design and modelling principles, drafting/drawing standards, testing methods, FEA analysis, and problem solving techniques
– Identifying opportunities for improvement in product and engineering processes
– Other duties as required

Qualifications:
– College Diploma or University Degree in a related field is an asset
– Experience within Transportation/Logistics (minimum 2-3 years)
– Understanding or transportation modes/methods
– Understanding of customs compliance documents
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Good interpersonal skills
– Excellent time management skills
– Good computer skills including Google Products (Docs, Sheets, etc)
– Experience with warehouse management systems is an asset
– Available to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts if needed
