Job description: We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, process and quality focused team player who is self-motivated and goal driven to fill the position of Logistics & Distribution Coordinator based out of our Oliver, BC Production Facility / Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery.
Our winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution; operating year-round and producing some of the industry’s most awarded wines. The Role:
Under the supervision of the Distribution & Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable to facilitate the shipping and receiving of goods; supporting the management if inbound and outbound warehouse traffic; and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Use planning system suggestions to plan and optimize stock transfers to third parties, meeting requirements on time while staying within budget
- Plan and coordinate transportation of finished goods and manage the timely delivery to customers throughout Western Canada.
- Facilitate shipping and receiving of finished goods within the Distribution Centre
- Execute sales order and stock transfer workflow from printing pick tickets to ship-confirming orders and troubleshoot system issues when necessary
- Monitor and coordinates the delivery, pickup and drop-off schedules
- Identify and support the resolution of order flow and shipment delays
- Maintain and track delivery schedules to ensure schedule adherence and customer service levels
- Document and resolve delivery discrepancies and escalate issues as required
- Support the validation of freight invoices
- Cross-train to provide support for other administrative functions as required (inventory control, import planning, etc.)
- Identify opportunities for improvement for process and cost efficiencies
- Other duties as required and assigned
Job Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Supply Chain Management or Related Discipline an Asset
- 2-3 Years Previous Experience in distribution, transportation or logistics
- High level of comfort and familiarity with computer systems (experience with planning and/or executional business software an asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and internet browsers
- Proven experience working in a fast paced and deadline orientated work environment
- Demonstrated effective communication skills -verbal and written
- Advanced coordination skills, ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn and stretch for new challenges
