Adecco is hiring for Logistics Operations Administrator in Toronto, for a well-renowned electronics manufacturing company. Our client is a leader in high-reliability design, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions.
This is a full time, stable and long-term 1-year employment contract. As full-time employees, you can expect up to 40 regular working hours a week.

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.
Mon-Fri: 09:00am – 05:00pm || Pay Rate: $17 / hour
Length of Contract: 1 Year
Experience: Three to six years of relevant experience
Clear criminal background
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: * Collects and analyzes logistics data for trends and potential cost savings.
- Evaluates and selects carriers for shipment of product.
- Analyzes freight data for internal and external charges.
- Interfaces with customers to identify shipment information.
- Responsible for process development and reengineering related to customer shipping processes.
- Provides expertise, guidance and training to the customer and customer supplier contacts, ensuring that the latest practices and procedures are followed.
- Interfaces with various levels of customers to ensure processes are in place and working such that we maintain compliance with Logistics processes.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: * Expert understanding and interpretation of international and domestic transportation
- Good knowledge of customs rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications.
- Good understanding of external customer requirements.
- Good financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve network shipping problems using analytical models.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Typical Experience: * Three to six years of relevant experience.
Typical Education: * Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
