My client, an industry leader, is currently looking to add a Logistics Solutions Specialist to their high performing team. The Logistics Solutions Specialist will be responsible for improving the performance and efficiency of day to day operations for high profile key accounts. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong background in carrier sourcing, particularly in LTL and specialty equipment.

What the Logistics Solutions Specialist does:

• Load management (order, pickup and delivery)
• Problem solving with Key Stakeholders and Team Members
• Market knowledge and analysis (rates, service level, lanes)
• Carrier sourcing and management – capabilities (Licensing, Safety and Insurance Certificate)
• Identify opportunities for improvement in service or costs
• Obtaining rates and negotiation
• Follow up and escalate on unresolved issues with Manager and Team Members
• Provide logistics solutions and superior customer service

What the company will expect from you:

• Post-Secondary Education in Transportation, Logistics or related
• Experience with asset and non-asset base
• Strong understanding of rates and quotes
• Excellent computer skills – Word & Excel
• Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing critical deadlines
• Experience with customs documentation and cross border procedures
• Bilingual is a plus
