Today’s Shopping Choice is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics and Supply Chain team working out of our Mississauga office. This role is a 6 month contract. The successful individual will be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:
– Transportation management, rate analysis, booking deliveries to meet due dates
– Experience in International documentation including customs and transportation
– Strong internal and external customer relations and collaboration
– Purchase Order management for the product flow from and to vendors
– Product Cost Analysis to include transportation and customs related charges/fees
– Managing KPI’s and associated analytics
– Customs clearance process monitoring
– Knowledgeable of policy and legal requirements under the various regulations an asset (i.e. FDA, CFIA, CCRA)
– Freight Audit

Qualifications:
– Post graduate specializing in Logistics preferred
– 3 years minimum experience working in Logistics in an import environment
– Expert knowledge of 3PL and international transportation industry
– Customs experience preferred
– Exert knowledge working with Microsoft Office Applications
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Excellent analytical skills
– Thrives in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking
– Resolution oriented
– Great Team Player – with a “can do” attitude
– Administration duties as required
