Overview:
PKM Canada Marine Terminal LP is currently recruiting for a Foreman to join the team. This position is a Maintenance Foreman for Vancouver Wharves, located in North Vancouver. The terminal handles bulk cargo including mineral concentrates, diesel, Sulphur, and grain products on behalf of customers. The position reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance or Operations. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Foreman will be to supervise terminal longshore workers. Through strong communications and attention to superior service and quality standards, this role will contribute towards ensuring a safe and fulfilling workplace for longshore workers whilst maintaining environmentally conscious and cost-efficient operations at Vancouver Wharves.
NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Direct supervision of longshore workers;
- Ensure all maintenance and operations support duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina’s procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
- Provide support and appropriate feedback on performance management of employees;
- Finalize and update documentation related to maintenance and safety;
- Ensure all work is completed within Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) guidelines;
- Provide leadership and assistance during emergency response when required; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience and a proven track record of leadership success in a similar role, particularly in a unionized, heavy industrialized environment;
- The candidate should, at a minimum, hold a BCTQ or IP ticket as a millwright or an industrial electrician;
- Experience maintaining mobile and fixed plant equipment, including bulk handling equipment, is considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of MS Office and a demonstrated aptitude for working with other business-related computer programs and applications;
- Ability to motivate and lead others in a safe, efficient and respectful manner;
- Conscientious and demonstrate a strong willingness to take on responsibility;
- Communicate with assertiveness and confidence, and establish productive relationships with both peers and managers;
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous leadership development, maintain a focus on achieving results, and possess the ability to drive change with an inclusive and growth-oriented mindset;
- Ability to accommodate shift work, being flexible to work any of the three shifts each day; and
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Vancouver, BC.
BC Pay Transparency Requirement: The hourly rate for this position is $64.31. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate’s qualifications and location.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
