Job Title: Manager, Tax & Accounting
Location: Campbell River, BC
Length of Assignment: Full time, Permanent
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off of compilation engagements in Caseware, including adjusting

entries, supporting working papers and financial statements

• Review of corporate and personal income tax returns in Profile
• Written and oral communication with clients, colleagues, government agencies and

other third parties

• Managing and ensuring client deadlines are met
• Supervision and training of accounting staff
• Other duties as requested

Requirements

• Education/Licensing – CPA designation is required
• At least 3 – 5 years’ post-designation experience in a public practice accounting firm

is preferred

• Previous experience reviewing personal and corporate income tax returns and

compilation engagements is preferred

• Comprehensive income tax (federal and provincial) and GST knowledge
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills and ability to work

independently or in a team environment

• Dedicated to providing excellent client service
• Available to work overtime when necessary
