Job description: Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager, Finance & Administration provides strategic financial, business and risk management advice to the General Manager and Board of Directors with respect to the plans and operations of GHC, and leads the development of strategic business and financial strategies to accomplish the Corporations objectives. The Manager, Finance & Administration evaluates the performance of GHCs operations and reports results to the General Manager, Board and other stakeholders. The incumbent directs the provision of financial services, business planning, payroll and human resources, corporate administration, corporate governance and information technology in supporting the business and operational requirements of the Corporation. The Manager, Finance & Administration builds strong working relationships with all stakeholders and serves as a key member of GHCs Executive Team.

As the Manager, Finance & Administration, you are a highly successful senior financial executive with responsibility for overseeing multiple business units or departments. Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to think strategically and instill a continuous improvement mindset are hallmarks of this position. You will have demonstrated leadership and have been successful in developing, implementing and evaluating financial programs, processes and systems that provide a high level of service and performance. The Manager, Finance & Administration must be familiar with the culture of aboriginal people, more specifically, Metis people.

Your knowledge is supported by a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in progressively responsible finance and accounting roles. An accounting designation in preferred.
