Where the successful candidate will be the financial subject matter expert of our Consumer Premise Equipment to ensure our technicians and customers have a seamless Connected Home experience and as cost efficient as possible.
What you’ll do :
- Manage the budgets and forecasts for all of our Customer Premise Equipement to ensure we are optimizing the amount of inventory we have
- Manage and ensure timely delivery of period close procedures including review of journal entries, analytical review of financial results – and distribution of Management and Finance reporting packages
- Review variance commentary on financial results and key business indicators in partnership with Supply Chain/Marketing and Procurement Management
- Build relationships with Ops Management teams and other departments to ensure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall reporting process
- Review the accuracy of financial models to support performance management with trend and program impact assumptions and provide coaching for improvement
- Accountable for the tracking of financial, program, and KBI results against multiple comparison points including Forecast, Budget, and Prior Year
- Represent Ops as Finance lead for large cross functional projects in terms of business case analysis for cost inputs and financial impacts
- Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required. Establish and validate assumptions to assess financial impact and prepare sensitivity analysis
- Facilitate post-implementation reviews of major projects with project owners and proactively challenge status quo
- Field questions from the Controllers Group as required
What you’ll bring:
- University Degree and accounting/finance designation (MBA/CPA/CMA/CGA/CA/CFA) is required
- Strong financial background with >5 years of progressive experience within finance
- Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles with IFRS perspective, excellent analytical capabilities and strong process documentation skills
- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and modeling skills required
- SQL, Access and SAS skills for efficient data manipulation preferred
- Strong business acumen and Wireless industry knowledge / experience is an asset
- A strong track record of being able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritization of tasks, with a focus on quality and details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials and Essbase an asset
