Job description: Manager, Financial Systems & Reporting (Manager IT – Financial Applications) required for planning, managing, developing or evaluating, implementing and maintaining all computerized records systems pertaining to Financial Services.

Must Haves:

  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology plus a minimum of 5 years’ information system experience
  • Lead Financial Services Information Systems (FSIS) operations and services. Develop and implements policies, best practices, and processes. Oversees system maintenance and administration, ensuring system and data integrity
  • Solid planning and project management skills, with ability to engage in Financial Systems strategic planning, and lead system-related projects for FSIS upgrades, enhancements and implementations
  • Experience with the financial modules of ERP, Banner experience would be nice to have
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to assess system-based customer requirements, identify the root cause of system problems, and fully leverage ERP capabilities
  • Manages and maintain activities that support Institute’s compliance with Purchase Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Assists in deployment, maintenance, and support for the Institute’s Point of Sale devices as requested. Leverages existing system(s) to optimize financial processes
  • Ability to manage and maintain financial applications utilized by Financial Services. Support the Associate Director by providing senior level specialized expertise towards department planning. Ensures alignment with Financial Services strategies and the Institute’s current and future business needs. Assists with policy development and business processes related overlap and interface of various financial services software across departments
  • Ability to oversee privacy and protection of financial data which includes vendor, student and employee information; advises on and oversees the administration of system security and access to financial data. Liaises with IT Services and Privacy Office to develop and implement controls, maintain diligent access standards and compliance with security and access protocols

Specialization and Skills: Management Consultant Information Management 8 – 10 years

Priority Requirements:
Work Environment: Remote to start, onsite when safe to go back to the office. If applying from out of the Vancouver area, must be willing to locate to the Vancouver area when it’s safe to go back to the office.
