About the role:

The Global Nuclear Compliance Manager will support the development of efficient and leverageable nuclear trade compliance procedures across the Globe. This role will collaborate with cross-functional business owners to implement practical and leverageable import/export nuclear compliance and logistics programs throughout the organization. Validate that changes are compliant to company standard operating procedures and meet quality objectives. This position will have management responsibilities over the analysis & implementation of Boston Scientific International Customer solutions within Boston Scientifics’ expanding Supply Chain, inclusive although not limited to current strategic directions towards global operations, Quality, distribution networks and budgeting.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop corporate nuclear trade compliance programs for a multi-national organization to optimize efficiency and leveragability and work with Senior Management to roll out
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business owners (operations, logistics, sales and customer support, Quality, engineering, IT, HR and legal) to ensure alignment between nuclear compliance procedures and business objectives
  • Assist with day-to-day import and export functions and nuclear logistics (e.g., Work with local, state/provincial and country nuclear regulatory authorities to gain and maintain necessary product licensing to ensure import and export compliance of nuclear material
  • Responsible for compliance-related projects, such as internal investigations and government inquiries and departmental audits
  • Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of nuclear compliance/logistics globally
  • Implement digital tools as required to streamline workflows related to compliance topics
  • Responsible for the development of nuclear compliance-related awareness training. Present this training material to Senior and Executive level management
  • Manage and support periodic, risk-based transaction testing/audits to assess effectiveness of import/export compliance procedures.
  • Strategic level supplier management responsibilities for global nuclear distributors, participating in periodic business reviews focusing on key SLA’s and KPI’s while driving direction of the business.

What we’re looking for

Qualifications

  • The individual will have a minimum of 4 year degree in engineering, science or areas of nuclear regulatory compliance or international logistics.
  • 5+ years in radiation compliance, safety or logistics related work
  • Strong understanding of shipping/ logistics processes in the nuclear field
  • Familiarity with state and country level rules and regulations for nuclear importation and transportation
