The delivery of technology solutions is critical to Manulife’s overall business strategies. Are you interested to join a Technology team that must deliver quickly, reliably and securely while demonstrating effective risk management to our customers, shareholders and regulators?
The Governance & Control (G&C) function is part of first line technology operations focused on managing operational risk and is responsible to operationalize and execute Global Technology risk strategy. G&C aligns with leadership to set the risk culture, supports IT in identifying and mitigating risks end to end and provides an objective view of key risks to enable business decisions. G&C also provides processes, data, skilled resources and insight to track accountability and enables risk-based decisions. Measures performance against mandatory requirements, such as risk standards, informing our operational risk position.
We are hiring for a Manager, IT SOX Compliance to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the materiality decisions for impact
Update control procedures and framework to reflect change in required controls
Coordinate walkthrough and testing schedules with key stakeholders
Coordinate kickoff meetings within IT, internal audit, external auditor and control owners
Escalate delays in evidence requests, support resolution
Perform root cause analysis of issues with key stakeholders to resolve thematic and recurring issues
Report on progress related to SOX issues and corrective action plans
Report and monitor updates made to control inventories in the system of record
Oversee the annual IT SOX plans submitted by stakeholders, monitor key milestones
Manage the IT SOX Operational Forum with stakeholders
Manage the IT SOX collaboration site
Update the weekly dashboards and reports on progress to plan
Debrief on annual results
Qualifications:
You will bring many of these qualifications and continuously build upon the following skills.
Ideally minimum 3-5 years of progressive leadership in the areas of Information Security / Business Resiliency / Technology Risk strategies, principles, processes and deliverables within a large enterprise / Project management
University degree (Computer Science, IT, Business or related discipline preferred)
Previous IT risk advisory consulting experience is preferred
Working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
Expertise in best practices of various aspects of information risk management and prior experience as a leader in Information Risk strategy and execution
Strong communication skills and ability to explain highly technical information for non-technologists including executives
Strong competencies in collaboration, problem solving and influencing key risk decisions
Flexibility in working hours to due to the team global setup
