We’re looking for a passionate Treasury Manager who loves to think on their feet and come up with creative solutions to complex problems. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will work closely with our Finance, Product and Development teams to devise and implement payment strategies and processes for our products. What you’ll do:

  • Devise and implement payment strategies for new products and services, both for sending and receiving funds
  • Partner with Product and Development teams on improvements that enhance the member experience
  • Analyze current payment structures and identify areas for improvement with an eye on profitability and efficiency
  • Own and manage bank & other payment partnerships, ensuring Mogo has the right partners in place
  • Partner with banks and other payment partners to test new payment types and negotiate pricing
  • Evaluate and design processes for reporting, recording and reconciliation of payments
  • Create appropriate controls and processes
  • Oversee payment cycle and banking administration
  • Manage and oversee Finance projects such as process improvements, implementations etc.

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role; prior experience in a Fintech company, with cryptocurrencies or in the p2p payments space would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payments landscape including the pros and cons of various payment methods
  • Knowledge of fraud, risk and controls for payments; experience in a regulated compliance environment is a bonus
  • Strong understanding of cash management (cash flow, account management etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of corporate finance processes and capital structure
  • Passion for building strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Success in developing and implementing simple internal controls and processes out of complex ideas
  • Proven ability to lead large scale projects and achieve deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in accounting software, expertise in Excel and Great Plains is preferred
