As a Mill Packer, the successful candidate will report to the Production Supervisor and will support the operations, performing his/her duties in a safely and timely manner.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Weighting, packing and loading flour products in a safely manner;
- Operating tote filling and packer systems and stretch wrap machine;
- Keeping the work area tidy and performing sanitation duties throughout the plant as required;
- Completing and following all Health & Safety training relating to the job;
- Performing other plant duties as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a general laborer position
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a forklift;
- Able to work in dusty areas throughout the mill;
- Must be able to safely lift and stack 25 kg bags; a copy of the Physical Demand Analysis is available for review;
- Have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
- Must be able to work shiftwork ( 12 hours shifts – 4 on and 4 off. Night/Day rotation, working weekends required)
