Job title: Motion Graphics Designer
Job description: The Motion Graphics Designer is an exciting opportunity focused on developing world-class content for Ottawa Senators fans and guests of Canadian Tire Centre.
The successful candidate will complement their design experience with a can-do attitude and a passion for bringing meaningful moments to life across our marketing and communications channels. Innovating within the standards of our brand, this role works in collaboration with marketing and business leaders to produce assets that represent our organization and generate interest and pride in the community.
Reports to: Marketing
Main Responsibilities
- Embrace seasonal creative and design direction to bring ideas/briefs to life for campaigns, in-game assets, and various partner initiatives
- Design motion graphics content for use across digital, in-arena, and advertising channels
- Create and maintain a consistent look and feel for all projects, guided by the brand position and seasonal design strategy
- Work with Game Presentation and Social team to bring creative to new heights
- Conceptualize and execute compelling motion designs from a ‘blank canvas’
- Develop A/B Creative for testing and workshopping
- Monitor trends and emerging tools, and make recommendations to improve content quality and impact
Job Requirements
- University or college degree in animation and/or video production or relevant experience
- 2-5 years of experience as a motion graphic designer in a professional environment
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accept feedback and change requests in a professional manner
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, maintaining a team mentality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
- Functional experience working in the Sports & Entertainment or Hospitality industries is an asset
