We are a full-service real estate team, looking for a reliable, Part Time/Occasional Labor/Driver to join our crew. Travel is necessary, but most work will be in the York Region (Markham/Stouffville) and surrounding GTA neighborhoods.
Our Team takes a hand’s approach to sell homes. We offer fully comprehensive ‘white glove’ services to all our clients, and are looking to add to this team. Our Staging Team helps Home sellers maximize their home’s appeal by thinning out existing furniture, bringing in furniture/artwork/accessories. We also assist clients by removal of any garbage, items for donation, or items to be placed in storage.
Our labor team members are expected to be respectful, punctual, and possess a passion for helping people. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with more than 7 years of driving experience.
The hours in this role vary from 7-20 hours per week. When shifts are required, a message is sent out to our labor pool, and if a member is able to make the shift the hours are awarded. Potential for more hours if suitable. This role offers great flexibility and can complement other jobs or commitments. All successful candidates will be required to undergo background checks before offer acceptance.
House is also flexible, even if you are only available a few days per week. The truck is provided. Storage warehouse with furniture is easily accessible. You will not be working alone, you will also have another general laborer to support you on the truck. Great opportunity to learn the real estate industry while remaining active and physical!
Responsibilities:
Not limited too:
- Assist Design Lead with staging – loading and unloading furniture, accessories, and artwork
- Assist clients with moving/rearranging furniture and other household items (as needed) at their homes
- Organize and maintain our furniture warehouse on an ongoing basis
- Assist in junk removal (helping move clients garbage from their house)
- Driving our 16-foot cube van on a regular basis (Drivers License required)
- Assist in client/community events (setting up promotional materials)
- Any other tasks that may be required (ad-hoc basis)
Qualifications:
At a high level:
- Lifting is required (up to 100 lbs), including heavy furniture, fragile/personal items, etc. – you will have other general labor support to help with heavy items, loading and unloading truck.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a good driving record and 7 years of driving experience
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a reliable team player
- Ambitious and willing to work as a team – this is a must!!
- Flexible and able to be booked on short notice – also critical to the role.
- Highly responsible as you will be client-facing
