On a daily basis, the Nursing Unit Clerk will be responsible for specific operations of finance, administration and nursing departments. Our Nursing Unit clerk will be the first point of contact from the management side for our client’s side for any concerns related to the facilities, billings, and other requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Assist with Nursing scheduling, staff call ins, replacement.
● Conduct all the duties related to the occupational health and safety procedures of the company to keep our home safe and healthy.
● Maintain Invoices Payables up to date.
● Manage payroll operations considering collective agreements and prepare resident movement reports.
● Prepare annual tax forms, and deal with multiple stakeholders in preparation for resident admissions.
● Deal with trust accounts for monthly documentation and assist staff with employee benefits plans.
● Perform all the office administration duties by collaborating with every department of the home.
● Other duties as required.
Qualifications
● Post Secondary Certificate in Business or office administration or related program.
● One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of general office operations.
● Knowledge of basic payroll principles, post-secondary education related to payroll administration or related experience would be considered as an asset,
● Experience in Long Term Care with utilization of Point Click Care is an asset but not required
● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional time management skills
● Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and French
