Aramark is recruiting an Operations Finance Manager to support Queen’s Hospitality Services at Queen’s University. The Operations Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing financial and operating reports and conduct and document financial analysis projects. The Operations Finance Manager will work directly with the lead operator at the account and implement procedures that maximize profit by ensuring operational targets, internal control of inventories, cash, and equipment are conducted accordingly.
We are seeking a professional with experience in the Hospitality, Retail, or Food Industry preferably.
Job Responsibilities
- Be highly collaborative with leadership and communicate key levers to improve margins
- Apply strategic and critical thinking in the application of tech savvy data analytics
- Financial planning and analysis – create annual forecast and budget by venue
- Create weekly – monthly – annual financial reports
- Accountable for cash flow, cash and banking, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, capital expenditures
- Weekly & Monthly reporting to include analyzing and communicating to the corporation operators – including with SMART actions
- Audits & Contract Compliance – cash, A/P, SOX; collaborating with internal corporate auditors
- Maintain all financial records, reports in adherence with Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy
- Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies
- Inspire the team and collaborate
- Anticipate client and business needs; communicate on systems, reporting, program changes
- Develop proformas for new business and revenue growth opportunities
- Perform regional and account related duties as directed by the Director of FP&A

Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA an asset
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial experience – AP/AR, payroll, P&L management
- Experience managing fiscal operations in the Hospitality, Retail or Food Industry is preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills required with the ability to slice and dice numbers
- Firsthand experience and understanding of operations management is required
- Supervisory and/or team management experience is an asset
- Collaborative interaction with a team for budgeting, cost control and monthly reporting
- Must adhere to accepted accounting practices and observe financial controls and processes
- Excellent communication skills; strong diligence; meeting with strict deadlines
- Must be organized, demonstrate initiative, and could diagnose current state and achieve process improvement
- Must reside in or in the vicinity of Kingston, Ontario as this is an in-person position
