Job Title: Operations Floater, Bell Media, Unifor 79M

Job Status: Regular -Part time

Location: CTV Barrie

Salary: Group 4 – Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work: Maximum 24 hours per week. Will include evening and weekend work and overtime, as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Control room and newsroom
  • Produce content for digital platforms
  • Producing, line-up experience,
  • Assigning news resources as needed
  • Studio and ENG camera operation
  • Editing, Playback
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience of newsroom computer and software systems; iNews knowledge an asset
  • Knowledge of newsroom workflow from acquisition, recorded or live, to on-air integration
  • Previous experience with audio, camera, editing and newsroom editorial functions
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work independently under pressure of deadlines
  • Proven people and leadership skills
  • Ability to deal with new and developing technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work in a fast-paced television environment
  • Post-secondary education in broadcasting will be a definite asset
  • Valid G class driver’s license and good driving record are required

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
