Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for up to eight part-time instructors (tutors) (40 hours each/term). Under the guidance of the Course Professor and Lab Coordinator, each instructor will tutor and evaluate groups of students using problem and case-based learning in Occupational Therapy Skills Labs. Tutorials will on-site for two hours on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. (day/time subject to change). Preparation time for each lab (typically 30 minutes) may be virtual, however time/day is pending. Tutors may be required to attend on-site special events labs or exams on alternative days with advanced notice. Off-site preparation, marking and/or office hours may also be required. Instructors are required to attend an orientation session prior to the academic term (to be scheduled). As time permits, other duties may be required to assist with lab preparation and/or delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
An entry-to-practice qualification in occupational therapy and current registration as a licensed occupational therapist are required. Master’s degree is an asset. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and scheduling flexibility are required. Technological access to the Brightspace platform will be required.
Salary Range/Pay Rate In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
