Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Post-Harvest Supervisor is to oversee all post-harvest operations ((harvest-drying-bucking-trimming) as well as train staff to meet production goals while maintaining a high-quality cannabis line fully consistent with Standard Operating Procedures. Working with all employees engaged in post-harvest activities, he/she will ensure the entire process is monitored, and regulated. The Post Harvest Supervisor will provide the organizational tools to improve the capability of the business process. The Post Harvest Supervisor must ensure compliance with all relevant Acts and regulations.

Core Competencies

Knowledge of physical security requirements for Controlled Substances related legislations, regulations and guidelines in Canada.

Strong and current knowledge with logistics planning system (ERP) and other computer applications.
General understanding about the operational controls and inventory movement of controlled substances.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge and compliance with GPP and GMP.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Oversee the complete drying process and ensure the dried product meets required specifications
Schedule all post-harvest activities to ensure a smooth work flow.
Weigh, combine and manage bulk inventory containers, ensuring accurate weights.
Assist in fulfillment and shipping during peak periods.
Ability to learn new processes.
Maintains a safe work environment by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Able to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
Thorough understanding of company goals, objectives, policies and matters related to the business.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work variable shifts.
Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion; sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in related field of Agriculture/Horticulture
Supervisory Experience – Must be able to schedule all activities to maximize efficiency.
Must be able to safely operate and use assigned equipment and machinery.
Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Strong reading, writing and numeracy skills.
Willingness and flexibility to complete any task that may be required.
Experience in a post-harvest or inventory management environment preferred.

Salary

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Working Hours

Salaried Position. Weekend work or on-call work may be required in this position based on activity.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, comfortable standing for long periods of time. Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of the Warehouse and Production Operations.
