The Poultry Feed Specialist will identify and develop new business opportunities in Eastern Ontario and Quebec while strengthening existing customer relationships through a high standard of customer service. The candidate will promote the benefits of New Life Mills programs and services and provide producers with solutions for current and future business needs.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Expand New Life Mills market share in feed sales by prospecting and developing new customers;
Generate profitable business agreements for New Life Mills at large;
Work with producers to create viable solutions for their business needs;
Identify and monitor reoccurrence of business needs to determine trends and rising business opportunities;
Anticipate future business needs by using proactive measures and fostering and developing customer relationships ;
Promote the programs and services offered by New Life Mills in a manner that highlights the benefits to the producer;

Maintain contact with customers and manage their service needs;
Develop budgets, forecasts, and strategy to meet sales targets;
Ensure regular communication with supervisor, production, nutrition, and accounting support and work with other business areas and departments, as required.
Create customer plans, weekly sales plans and efficiently create new weekly call planners and call sheet reports;
Ensure agreements are compliant at all times with NLM policy.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers and with industry partners.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

Agriculture related education or equivalent experience. A strong poultry background is preferable;
Self-motivated individual with strong commitment toward delivering quality service;
Thorough knowledge of the poultry industry along with experience in providing modern, effective solutions for the producers in the area;
Experience in feed sales and poultry husbandry would be considered an asset;
Effective team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Strong analytical skills with a desire to learn;
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, fully bilingual (English/French) is required;
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel most of the time and must have own vehicle in good working condition.
