POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sportsbar, a live sports and dining experience that puts you right in the game, is looking for the best talent in the industry! As part of the premium hospitality team, you will be responsible for leading your respective team and providing ongoing coaching and recognition to team members to ensure both the hospitality service provided and the fan experience are exceptional. This is an hourly, events-based, part-time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Lead your respective team and provide ongoing coaching and recognition to ensure excellent hospitality is provided and the fan experience is exceptional
-Contribute to building a high performance team by actively partnering with all staff of Rogers Arena
-Work collaboratively as a key member of a larger team across the organization and continuously interact in a positive and professional manner
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be at least 19 years of age
-Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with varied start times
-Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs
-Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
-Proven front-line customer service leadership in a fine dining setting is required
-Have a leading passion for the hospitality business and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the hospitality industry
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while keeping composure and leading a team of staff as well as maintaining a first-in-class food and beverage experience
-Demonstrate excellent on-the-spot problem solving skills, including the ability to independently handle service recovery situations to a fan’s satisfaction
-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and oral format
-Ability to maintain a calm demeanor, make decisions, and react appropriately and effectively to situations as they arise with minimal supervision
-Micros POS knowledge and experience with Opentable is an asset
-Completion of Serving it Right certificate
-If you are a non-Canadian resident, you must hold a valid work permit that expires no earlier than July 2019
