Prep Cook Overview:

As a prep cook, you will be an integral part of the guest experience through the preparation of food. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare food items and ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards
  • Prep all cold and hot food items using prep worksheets
  • Follow proper knife safety procedures
  • Operate oven and hot prep equipment, ensure appropriate time/temp of all hot and cooked foods
  • Maintain clean, food-safe dish and prep stations throughout shift
  • Set up and break down oven station, maintain clean and organized hot prep zone and equipment

Requirements:

Prep Cook applicants should have six months to one year of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment, preferably working prep. Knowledge of proper food safety handling, a positive can-do attitude, quick and adaptive learner accountability in upholding high standards is a must! A real team player, willing to get your hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep the kitchen running well will have great success!

Prep Cooks should have the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, push, pull, twist, stretch, squat, reach, and lift to 35 lbs. from the floor to waist level as well as the ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Pay Rate: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE
