The role

The Produce Dairy and Frozen food Buyer Role covers a very dynamic and challenging part of the Procurement team If you are looking for a challenging and interesting role that has growth potential this is it!

This role is to liaise with our key Partner’s stay attuned to market conditions and support our Northland Restaurant Brands. Denny’s Chop, Moxies and Shark Club. Your ability to stay connected with our Supporting Supply Chain team and to assist with LTO’s will be part of the exciting experience of leading with Protein .

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a dynamic sense of the protein market.

Connect manage and work closely with our key Produce Dairy and Frozen partners ,

RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Requests for Quotations) are part of responsibility of this role

Build and maintain product specifications for each brand .

Leverage our volume across the business for the best possible outcome to Northland Restaurant Group.

Utilize the analyst resource to find insights to value and opportunity’s.

Become the purchasing team’s subject matter expert for Dairy Produce and Frozen

Provide support and create great relationships with our culinary team and Brand Leaders

Skills and Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the below:

Experience in Produce and Food Service Menu items purchasing ideally in the Restaurant Industry

Advanced proficiency in excel and BI .

Previous experience using Crunch time! or similar inventory systems.

Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics or statistics considered an asset.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to Restaurant Leaders and Chef’s

Impeccable negotiation and decision-making skills on top of good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and function at a high level within a complex fast paced environment.
