Production Accountant
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with industry regulations. The position is contract with an expected term of 7 months.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Ensure complete and accurate full cycle production and revenue accounting for assigned gas plant.
- Collaborate with operational teams and external customers to develop budgets for exploration and production activities.
- Populate Volumetric and Royalty data (SAFOAF) into Petrinex by government posted schedules.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with logistics and external customers to reconcile trucked and railed volumes.
- Complete monthly Liquid and Gas pipeline splits by Industry published schedules.
Your strengths include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience in oil and gas, preferably midstream/gas facilities operations.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong technical knowledge of gas plant allocations, measurement, interpretation of schematics as well as Regulatory reporting requirements.
