As a Manager, Special Projects you will be responsible for pursuing, developing and winning quality “special” or smaller scope projects resulting in achieving annual revenue and profit goals.

This Manager, Special Projects will also cultivate relationships with current clients and new customers, owners’ representatives, developers and consultants. This role is also responsible for implementing the company’s strategic plan to drive short and long term growth initiatives.

In this unique role, we are looking for leaders who are capable of:

• Qualify winning opportunities provided by the business development team and manage the project lead follow-up in a timely and efficient manner.
• Respond to Requests for Proposals with winning proposals, and/or work with a Proposal Manager to do so.
• Determine clients’ needs and expectations.
• Develop outline specifications (scope of work).
• Develop a response strategy and determine the type of response.
• Lead design team in developing concept design for proposal submission and act as liaison with clients regarding all pricing and proposal questions.
• Conduct project risk analysis, including review of Terms and Conditions, pre-bid recommendation
• Present proposals to clients.
• Develop the contract. Negotiate with or assist in negotiations with subcontractors and clients.
• Effectively hand off the project to the operations team post executed contract.
• When available, seek, identify, and qualify new opportunities.

Our Manager, Special Projects are responsible for ICI projects typically up to $2M. To quality for this position, the ideal candidate will have:

• University Degree in Engineering, or Engineering Technology Diploma, or a combination of education and construction experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a ICI Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Gold Seal certification preferred.
• Proficient MS Office and Windows-based computer applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.).
• The ability to use/learn industry specific software programs such as Timberline, SureTrack, Dynamics (CRM) and MS Project.
• Valid driver’s license.
