The Role

Our client is a family-owned food manufacturer specializing in organic and natural foods. You will be working in a new and large facility in Burnaby with about 80 employees. The company was founded in 2009 and is currently experiencing high growth

We are seeking a Purchaser/Logistics working on the day shift. This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities

Review quotations Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services Monitor progress of delivery schedules Establish delivery schedules Develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems Consult with suppliers Ensure raw materials are coming in on time Assess requirements of establishment Negotiates prices, terms, and conditions

• Manage inbound/outbound deliveries (contact couriers, prepare delivery log sheets, obtain shipping quotes, complete waybills, schedule deliveries, etc.)

Qualifications

3 years of experience as a purchaser/logistic coordinator within a food manufacturing setting. MS office College or university degree in a related discipline.

Compensation
