The Descartes Systems Group is seeking to fill a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer role. The QA Engineer plays an important role in ensuring the overall quality throughout the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Design, implement and execute tests for Descartes Mobile software products
• Design and build new automated test scripts (a plus)
• Validate software product releases in accordance with expected behaviors and report findings
• Participate in product design and specification reviews
• Setup and installation of test environments
• Report on overall compliance and quality performance metrics.
• Work closely with other departments to share knowledge and provide training about the service.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Knowledge of any programming language of any level (such as Python, JavaScript or Java) is a plus
• Extensive experience in both Automated and Manual Testing
• Strong knowledge of test design Techniques
• Basic Understanding of XML and Json
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Solid Analytical and documentation skills (think outside the box)
• Excellent organizational skill and ability to multitask within tight deadlines.

Salary Range: $55,000 to $70,000 CAD “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.”
