Position Summary: Research Assistant in Prof. Craig’s research lab (flow visualization experiments for natural ventilation concepts).
List of duties: Reduced-scale flow visualization experiments for natural ventilation concepts (using Background Oriented Schlieren); thermal property characterization of bio-based construction materials (using C-Therm Trident); thermal characterization of porous building envelope materials (using custom ‘breathing wall’ test rig); design development of architectural concepts for passive heating, cooling, and ventilation; article preparation (e.g. figures, literature review, etc.); lab inventory.
Experience / Education: M.Arch., previous experience in research lab.
Hourly Salary: $30.00
Hours per Week: 25 (Part time)
