Our Corporate office (based in Calgary) is looking for an exceptional Recruitment Specialist to partner with our Operations Team and hiring managers at our Corporate office. This position will provide full cycle recruitment support primarily for our Agriculture division but will support other area’s of the business as needed. The keys to success will involve an extraordinary ability to build relationships at all levels (candidates, hiring managers, other HR team members and senior leaders), understanding the business, sourcing for rural locations, creativity to think outside of the box and driven to get things done!

What does the role look like?

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for positions primarily in our Agriculture division but you will support other parts of the business as needed

• From posting the career opportunities, phone screens, administering assessments, coordinating interviews, attending interviews, advising managers on talent related questions, sourcing candidates and developing creative recruitment strategies
• Build a pipeline of passive candidates using social media, universities, technical schools, professional associations and networking to fill vacancies and create a future pipeline of candidates.
• Attending recruitment related events
• Manage both the candidate and hiring manager experience, finding exceptional people who would be a great fit for our teams

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of full cycle and high-volume recruiting experience (as a Recruiter, Recruitment Specialist, Talent Advisor or similar position)

• Experience hiring Service Technicians/Mechanics or hiring positions in agriculture would be a HUGE asset
• Hiring for technical roles to match suitable candidates with our roles
• Experience working in a recruitment house/agency/search firm would be great
• Loves a fast-paced environment!
• Knows how to leverage technology – but also knows the value of connecting over the phone/face-to-face with candidates
• Proven experience with direct sourcing, social media recruiting techniques and other current web-based employment strategies
• Experience in recruiting both corporate and field level positions
• Superior computer skills including experience with Excel combined with ATS systems experience
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• Self-starter who enjoys taking initiative with an ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt easily to change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to develop lasting and productive relationships with both candidates and hiring managers
• Has strong knowledge of employment law, best practices, and tricks-of-the-trade
• Knows how to manage both the candidate and hiring manager experience
