Regional Market Insights Manager Canada (ID: 2101518) Where the Chemistry Happens… With an experienced knowledge base of the agriculture business and industry, the Market Insights Manager Canada takes a lead role in developing, interpreting and communicating market and customer insight and data. The work product identifies market growth opportunities for both crop protection and seed and enables effective strategic, tactical and operational insights, forecasting and decision making within the organization. The Market Insights Manager Canada is focused on developing and implementing the research plan for Canada, in alignment with the Regional Market Research Center of Excellence, working primarily in co-operation with the Canadian Leadership Team, Marketing Team, Seeds Team, Customer Solutions (CST), Sales & Accounts Managers, Regional & Global Marketing, Research providers and other groups as required.
In addition, this role will be responsible for leading, delivering and optimizing the long term planning process and quality across North America. This role will work closely with the Regional Business Excellence Market Intelligence team members and the regional businesses Formula for Success: You Will… Market and Customer Research: Initiate and provide leadership to members of the Marketing, CST, Sales and leadership team in on-going strategic dialogue which will support the development of proprietary studies, analysis and recommendations.
Identify and prioritize research requirements based on knowledge of business plans and industry trends / develop research plans and individual studies that provide timely and meaningful information, competitor monitoring, identify market growth opportunities and enable effective strategical, tactical and operational insights and decision making within organization / develop.
Manage relations with external market research providers / study pricing / legal agreements as defined by and in alignment with the Regional Market Research center of excellence Insight & Intelligence: Provide market data, competitor insight and analysis for internal planning, including but not limited to, long term forecasting, go-to-market, market updates and trends, new market and customer segment opportunities customer insight, and sales team support Special project support and insight for Director of Marketing, Vice President & other leadership team members as required in areas such as forecasting, Budgets, Competitor/Market Intel and Executive discussions. * Communication and management of research and insight findings for internal and external audiences, including business and customer presentations, newsletter, and internal databases. Support of metrics requiring market and customer insight and competitive intelligence
Act as liaison for all Canadian Research and Insight, collaborating with and supporting the Regional Market Research Center of Excellence and providing insight requirements to the Regional and Global teams. Provide direction to Marketing Intelligence Specialist to conduct detailed analytical review of all relevant market research data to support market insight efforts in Canada Long term planning: Lead and coordinate the development and execution of the long-term planning processes across the region to improve quality Support local, Regional and Global with market outlook requests and presentation of long term forecasts.

  • Act as liaison and for all Canadian Trademark inquiries, both for both new and existing trademarks.

Qualifications

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You… * B.Sc required.

  • Must have demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, with the capability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking, ability to work with minimal supervision and takes personal initiative to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
  • Sound understanding of the Canadian agriculture market and the crop protection industry. (8+ years industry experience is preferable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of tools is required
