About the job
In this position, you’re responsible for our regional customer demand forecasting process and logistics network for North America. You lead a team of ambitious and driven planners and logistics professionals, and you proactively develop our operations from both a strategic and operational point of view. Together with your team, you make sure that we have a strong understanding and relevant information of our customers’ requirements – what they need in terms of products and services and how we can optimize production, warehousing and distribution. You also collaborate along all parts of our Sales and Operational Planning value chain to increase capital efficiency and bring us one step closer to world-class operations!
By digging deep into our processes, driving analytics and looking at the benefits of digitalization, you holistically identify standardized, simplified and improved ways of working and seamless data flows. Another important part of your job is to share best practices and valuable insights between our regions, and you work close to our sales managers and the management team for Global Operations.
This position is located in Mississauga, Ontario and some international travel is included in the job.
Areas of responsibility
- Act as the single point of contact for all Tools Supply Chain requirements for all Rock Tools products
- Accountable for proper Regional Demand/Supply planning processes including the Regional Statistical Forecast
- Provide support for regional sales forecast in interaction with the Business Line Manager and their Management Team
- Chair monthly Regional S&OP meeting for all product lines and validating the regional demand
- Accountable for all aspects of order management once the customer order has been created
- Manage inventory parameter settings in in-market warehouses, local warehouses & consignments for all product lines in cooperation with the Global Planner and Business Line Manager
- Manage inventory replenishments to in-market warehouses, local warehouses & consignments
- Manage reverse logistics
- Accountable for operational performance, e.g. Air Freight Ratio, Inventory Development (DII & OSMI ratio), Delivery Performance, Fill Rate, Warehouse and Freight performance.
- Accountable for maintaining the Tools Network Design in the region in cooperation with global planning
- Day to day management of a team of planners and other staff
Required Skills and Education:
- College degree in Supply Chain & Logistics or University degree in Business Administration
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the area of B2B Supply Chain & Logistics – previous experience in the Mining industry is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a small team
- Bilingualism (English/Spanish) would be a definite asset
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be flexible to travel internationally at least 25% of the time
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
