Job description: As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the job description and Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses in the Express Unit.
Qualifications
1.Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
2. Current BCLS certification
3. Completion of Critical Practice Orientation (CPO)
4. Two years recent experience and demonstrated skill and ability in ECG interpretation
5. Previous related experience in acute medicine
6. Knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of adult and geriatric medicine patients, including rehabilitative approaches to patient care
7. Knowledge of the nursing care plan and evidence of ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques effectively in an acute medical setting
8. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
9. CPO Telemetry training
As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
