Responsibilities
The Staff Nurse will work under the direction of the Health Services Manager or delegate and be responsible for providing a standard of nursing care that meets professional practice standards for mental health nursing. The ECFPH utilizes the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Recovery Model. The Staff Nurse will collaborate with other disciplines while providing comprehensive nursing care that includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, evaluation and health teaching. All care is based on Quality Principles.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration with NSCN
- BLS-C (HCP) certification
- Willingness to work with patients in a variety of clinical settings
- Commitment to quality care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Sound clinical judgement
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Successful external applicants are required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to People Services before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a two-week mandatory orientation session and must pass the appropriate background checks

Hours of Work
Permanent, Full Time (100%) Position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Salary Information
$35.0366 – $41.4138 Hourly
($42.8633 with 25 years’ of RN experience)
