Summary:
Ability to function according to the job description of a Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation Program. Contribute to ensure there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent rehabilitation/medical/orthopedic nursing experience with a strong interest in developing rehabilitation nursing skills
- Demonstrated ability to transfer patients with a disability and to facilitate optimal patient independence
- Demonstrated patient/caregiver teaching skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a well established team environment
- BCLS
- Venipuncture and Cap BG competence
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Good attendance record
